About Caroline
I began my healing journey over fifteen years ago with the study of Foot Reflexology and during my journey I trained and graduated in other Therapies to enhance my work.
During a treatment session I work with my clients on a deep level, encouraging them to connect to the parts of their body that are stressed, dis-eased or out of balance, enabling them to facilitate the healing necessary to bring their mind, body and soul back into harmony with one another.
I am told that I bring a gentle compassion to my healing session and frequently calls on my intuitive guidance to compliment my practice. I also like to show clients where they can work on areas on either the foot or hand in between treatments to contribute to their own healing.
My healing journey began in the mid 90’s when living in Pembrokeshire.
A friend of mine had been very ill with M.E and was taken, with a wheelchair, on holiday by her husband. When she returned two weeks later it was hard to believe that she was the same person – she had been dancing, swimming and generally having an amazing time. She had just five Reflexology treatments. I was so amazed at the total change in her energy, appearance and outlook that I went straight to the library and read all I could on Reflexology. That was it – I was absolutely intrigued and fascinated and I immediately booked myself onto a course in London with the Bayly School of Reflexology, the official teaching body of the British Reflexology Association. In 1995 I qualified as a Reflexology Practitioner and set up my practice in Pembrokeshire.
In 1997 whilst on holiday in Malaysia I met a Chinese Reflexology practitioner, Michael Tan, who included Magnet Therapy in his treatment. This was so powerful that on my return to the U.K. I qualified as a practitioner in Magnet Therapy with the British School of Yoga.
After hearing Tony Porter speaking at a Reflexology Conference on his Advanced Reflexology Technique 'an evolution of the Original Concept', I undertook his training and in 1999 qualified as an Advanced Reflexology Practitioner.
In 2004 I took a two month sabbatical, journeying to Singapore , Australia and Thailand talking and working alongside many local practitioners giving and receiving treatment and absorbing the many techniques used.
The following year whilst attending a conference with the A.O.R. the Association of Reflexology I heard Lone Sorensen Lopez speaking on Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem and the amazing results that she was getting with her work. I decided to undertake her training in London and in 2005 became one of the few therapists in the U.K. to qualify as a Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem Practitioner and was so impressed with the results that I decided to concentrate on this therapy in my practice.
I then moved to Wiltshire and set up my practice in Corsham, where I undertook training in Usui Reiki and embraced this in my treatments. I also completed SEVA Release, Shock and Stress Release, an Acupressure protocol that was developed after the events in America on September 11th to treat those at Ground Zero to help them release the shock and stress that many workers were experiencing in dealing with the crisis.
In 2009 I finally moved 'home' to Devon after over 40 years away and set up my practice in the Torbay area.
I also completed a course in Facial Reflexology Sorensensistem for Infertility with Lone Sorensen in Barcelona in 2009.
